Uniting intelligence for global protection: The International Fusion Centre (IFC)
The international Fusion Centre (IFC) information system is a cogent and unified command and control system which gives the Maritime International Fusion Centre domain awareness when there’s a planning of search and rescue operations within a nation’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and Area of responsibility (AOR). For the purpose of creating a maritime common operating picture, the IFC information system can easily integrate with a variety of online data sources (including the Long Range Information Tracking (LRIT) service, the Satellite Automatic Identification System (S-AIS) service, and weather services). It can also easily connect to a terrestrial network of AIS receivers and coastal radars. Local and international stakeholders can work together to coordinate against combat terrorism, smuggling, illicit fishing, piracy, etc. as well as carry out prompt and successful search and rescue operations using MCOP.
Unified command and control for successful search and rescue operations within EEZ and AOR, with seamless integration of multiple online data sources and terrestrial networks. Coordination against maritime threats made easy.
