A GNSS receiver, Ethernet and Serial RS485 interfaces are all included into the AIS receiver unit known as the Smart Find AIS-R. It is intended primarily for AIS-equipped vessel coastal monitoring. It attaches to a computer's ethernet connection with software that is compatible. A screen can display AIS data from ships within VHF range, providing a visual explanation of the traffic.
